神々の棲む島といわれているインドネシア・バリ島。そんなバリ島に古くから伝わる青銅製の楽器で、宗教儀式の際、神に捧げる音楽を奏でるものとして欠かすことができないものが「ガムラン」です。
ガムランは「ガムル(叩く)」という言葉から派生したと言われています。バリ島の伝統音楽「ガムラン」を奏でる楽器と同じ材料を使い、その音色を真鍮のボールに封じ込め再現させたのがガムランボールです。
ガムランボール振ると”シャリーン♪”と神秘的なきれいな音色を奏でます。その音色を聴くと、人間の脳波はα波状態となり、ストレスを減らしたり解消する働きを持つβーエンドルフィンというホルモン(脳内モルヒネ)が分泌されるといわれています。
またβーエンドルフィンは脳を活性化させて集中力や記憶力、免疫力も高める作用があります。
